Thoughts

We gather not just to remember the passing of someone we deeply care about, but to celebrate the incredible impact they made in our lives. Steve wasn’t just a boss - he was a leader, a mentor, a friend, and someone’s presence enriched all who knew him. In their role, Steve was so much more than a title. He didn’t just manage us, he guided us with wisdom and kindness. Every decision, no matter how big or small, was made with consideration for those around him. He was a rare breed - someone who saw potential in every person, who believed in lifting others up and helping them find their own strength. What’s stands out most, however is, the way he treated us. To Steve, we were not employees, we were colleagues, individuals with aspirations, dreams and unique qualities. He created an environment where we are encouraged to our authentic selves, where ideas were heard, where we felt like we mattered. And that’s simply is impossible to forget. There was a level of humanity in Steve that made us feel valued, no matter where we were in our personal or professional lives. His door was always open, not just for questions about work, but for genuine heartfelt conversations. He always championed me and my son Ryan, through the good and really hard times. Steve celebrated our successes, championing us to do more. And that’s a legacy that will live in each of us who had the privilege to know him. We are not just grieving the loss of our leader. We are mourning the loss of someone who made us better, someone who made the world a brighter place just being in it. Steve’s legacy lives on in all of us, in the work we do, in the way we treat others, and in the memories we cherish. Thank you Steve, for being so much more than just a boss. You were a light in our lives, and we will carry that light with us always. Nos da a bendith Duw, Steve xx

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
